Graphene sensor created to detect air pollution

British scientists have developed a power-efficient graphene-based sensor that can detect air pollution inside homes. The sensor detects individual carbon-di-oxide molecules, found in buildings and interior materials, adsorbed onto graphene – a single atomic sheet of carbon atoms. In the study, the team was able to detect gas molecules with 30 parts-per-billion concentration level.
