Google's computers can be considered drivers: US

US vehicle regulators have recognised that Google's computers and artificial intelligence system in self-driving cars can be considered 'drivers'. Analysts claim this recognition could streamline the process of getting autonomous cars on the road. Google should come up with certification criteria for self-driving cars to meet standards applicable to vehicles with human driver, the regulators said.

Microsoft plans to build underwater datacenters


Microsoft on Sunday unveiled a new research initiative 'Project Natick', under which it plans to build underwater datacenters. To study the feasibility of such datacenters, Microsoft took a year to deploy its own subsea datacenter in the Pacific Ocean. Microsoft is currently looking for low-cost, high responsive and environmentally sustainable cloud datacenter solutions.

India got its Underwater Hotel in Ahmedabad

India's first underwater restaurant, the 'Real Poseidon' opened on Monday in Ahmedabad. Created 20 feet below ground level, the restaurant spreads across 3,000 square feet and offers a view of around 4,000 fish and marine species. With an accommodation capacity for 32 guests in the dining hall, the restaurant offers only vegetarian dishes in cuisines including Punjabi, Chinese and Mexican
